Aalu kay wady

Ingredients
Boiled and mashed potato 250 gm
Onion grated 1
Green chilies chopped 4
Coriander leaves chopped 2 tbsp
Salt ¾ tsp
Turmeric ¼ tsp
Curry leaves finely chopped 2 tbsp
Mustard seeds ½ tsp
Garlic paste ½ tsp
Oil ¼ cup
Lemon juice 3 tbsp
Ingredients for Batter
Gram flour 1 cup
Salt ¼ tsp
Chili powder ¼ tsp
Baking soda pinch
Method
Peel and chop 250gm potatoes, boil till tender, drain and mash potatoes, heat ¼ cup oil in a pan, add ½ tsp mustard seeds and 2 tbsp chopped curry leaves with 1 grated chopped onion, fry for 2 to 3 minutes, add ½ tsp garlic paste, ¼ tsp turmeric, ¾ tsp salt with mash potatoes, mix well, add 4 chopped green chilies and 2 tbsp coriander leaves, lastly add 3 tbsp lemon juice, mix well, make into balls, dip in prepared batter deep fry till light golden.
Method for batter
In a bowl mix together 1 cup gram flour, ¼ tsp salt, ¼ tsp chili powder, pinch of baking soda and make into a thick batter with water as required, dip balls in batter and deep fry. Serve hot.
